POSITION: PREVENTION SPECIALIST

General Description: This position is responsible for responding to crisis situations involving residents in any of the living units. This responsibility includes using well-developed verbal de-escalation techniques in response to the child. Utilize physical restraint and/or seclusion only when the child is a direct threat to themselves or others. Maintain accurate and timely paperwork and review restraint logs to ensure employee is using TCI techniques appropriately and correctly. 2nd shift available, approximate hours are 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm. Rotation is 2 weekends on/1 weekend off. There will also be 2 Prevention Specialists on Monday – Sunday.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma or GED. Highly prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work. Highly prefer prior experience dealing with emotionally troubled youth. Good organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills as well as good written/oral communication skills. Ability to be certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and provide physical intervention as needed for resident behavior management.

POSITION: RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR

General Description: Need a rewarding challenge that utilizes your skills, education and experience in working w/emotionally disturbed or delinquent youth? Tasks include: supervising, role modeling, teaching life skills, assisting with education and recreation programs, interacting and caring for youth. Ability to work with clients and families in a residential and home based setting. BA/BS or experience in Human Services preferred. Computer skills required. Weekends required. 2nd shift full and part-time available.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: At least age 21 with valid driver’s license. Full-time w/Benefits.
